R513a

Product description

The R513a is a hydrofluoro-olefin based refrigerant developed to replace the R134a HFC in medium and high temperature commercial and industrial refrigeration applications. It is non-ozone depleting, has a low global warming potential and zero temperature glide. Compared to the R134a it has similar capacity and high energy efficiency in new systems as well as in retrofit existing systems. Retrofitting R134a systems that use direct expansion and positive displacement compressors is not difficult as the R513a is a drop-in replacement, compatible with the equipment, components and lubricant used in existing R1234A systems.

The R513a can also be used as a replacement for HCFC service blends (R401a, R401b, R409a) however an oil change and seal replacement is required when retrofitting such systems.
