The R32 HFC is a low GWP, non o-zone depleting, new generation refrigerant generally used for air conditioning applications. It is a suitable alternative to the R410A, the most commonly used refrigerant in air conditioning, as air conditioning systems that run on R32 use 20% less refrigerant than R410A equivalents, rendering it more efficient and reducing the carbon footprint and energy costs.
The R32 also meets the EU f-gas requirements for small single-split air conditioning systems and is well suited for use in all climates.
As the R32 is flammable it cannot be used as a drop-in retrofit replacement for the R410A, it is meant for new equipment designed specifically for the R32 refrigerant.
